Amazing solitude and views Steve L 5/5 Tue, Oct 22 – Sun, Oct 27, 2024 My wife and I were excited to return to Zacatito's after having the home we had previously visited many times sold. Casa Kiefer is a private, well loved home on the edge of the neighborhood with access to the water directly in front of the home. We enjoyed the uncrowded beach for walks and a week of quiet surroundings. Everything about Casa Kiefer was comfortable from the bed to the lounge chairs by the pool, to the living room furniture. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you could possibly need. The rest of the amenities such as beach chairs and kayaks are there for your use if motivated. Don't miss the small soaking pool at waters edge in the gulf at low tide or a trip to Zai Sushi, a short drive up the coast. Zacs, a short walk from the casa, is a wonderful restaurant/bar as well. Lisa S 5/5 Sun, May 14 – Fri, May 19, 2023 Not knowing what to expect when traveling out of country is nerve wracking. This place is truly a place to stay. Quiet, friendly small community away from the hustle and busle of Cabo. Wish we would have booked more nights here and less in Cabo. Paradise in Mexico. Do yourself a favor and dont hesitate to book your vacation here. Cant wait to come back since we know what to expect now. Amazing views, great house, donkeys, chipmonks and wildlife around. Cant say enough about house and small community. Not many places left you can leave the screen doors open and not lock the house. Till next time thanks Chantel and Clayton. Go Predators by the way. Heather C Tue, Jun 14 – Sun, Jun 19, 2022 Would stay here EVERY time! This house is SO beautiful, and the photos barely do it justice! It is comfortable, welcoming, well -appointed, and close to San Jose del Cabo, as well as the local restaurant, Zac's. It is very centrally located to other resorts and homes to stay in, as well as to numerous lovely beaches and mountain vistas - not to mention the beautiful beach right down the hill. We truly felt like we were coming home every evening after our excursions, and jumped in the pool multiple times a day. We saw many burros, iguanas and birds, and very few people (in the good way). We also visited the local farmers market, where we had breakfast, and a fascinating conversation with a local about sustainability and off the grid living. I have read reviews of this home where people have complained about the construction - we never had any issues. There is construction going on, but it is during working hours, and the workers are just doing their jobs. They were respectful and non-invasive. There are still gorgeous views of the ocean, and will continue to be after the new build is finished. Communication with the owners was always on point, and I felt comfortable going there, knowing would have a great place to stay. This exceeded our expectations. Wonderful! 5/5 Stayed Jan 2020 J Courtney R. Stunning house. Stunning beach. Loved the community and Zac's and the Farmers Market. The donkeys! The whales! The new Thai restaurant. The sunrises and sunsets; the hills behind the house. The rocky path to the secluded beach. The house is bigger than it looks in the pictures. It is quite a place. All the reviews of Casa Keifer are spot on. There is that monstrous structure being built that you can see and hear. It is a shame but the beauty of the house and area shine. THE BEST VACATION WE HAVE EVER HAD 5/5 Stayed Jun 2019 Cheri S. This vacation was the best we have ever had of our many stays in Cabo. The house was amazing. It is well stocked with everything you will need to cook during your stay. I loved the hanging bed outside. It was nice to sleep under the stars. It is so peaceful and quiet there. We had the beach to ourselves most of the time. The swimming pool is amazing.The highlight of the week was the animals that you will not see if you stay in town. We feed the antelope chipmunks and iguanas every morning. The chipmunks are so little and very fast. I LOVED the donkeys. They came to the fence and waited on me to feed them apples and carrots. We saw Van Gough (the one eared donkey). We also saw some beautiful horses. If you need to unplug from the world this is the house to stay. It was the best trip! We will stay with you again.

Just a "WOW" 5/5 Stayed Feb 2018 Fred C. Pictures do not due it justice. I arrived, should have followed directions given rather than use GPS, a male thing! It is a perfect location for relaxation, watching the sunrise with a fresh cup of coffee, the ocean waves rolling in, the occasional slap of the waves, the walk down the beach which was virtually deserted was fantastic. You can safely swim almost anywhere from the beach, surf fishing was great, WHALE watching from the beach, the deck and even from the master bedroom was great. The accommodation fantastic, all furniture, dishes including silverware were of good quality. The place has everything you could want, including a Property Manager, Lisa, who was always available if you needed her. Only saw her once in 5 days, but talked to her twice, and both times phone answered on first ring! Just knowing she is close gives that added security. Zac's restaurant, great food, friendly staff, close enough for a walk, if at night take a flashlight as it is quite dark, really dark. Also remember that Zac's is CASH ONLY! Hard to believe there is such a great place available. Internet/ WIFI was excellent. There was nothing you could criticize with the exception that you had to leave! Make sure you buy just your groceries and drinks, for that is all that is required! Get enough so you don't have to leave, and are able to enjoy every single minute you have there. ENJOY, and I am coming back!
5/5 Amazing Cabo retreat!! We stayed at this location in February of this year. We loved it so much we decided to return again at the end of May, are glad we did!! Everything about this house is easy..... getting to the location, the actual location of the house, the property manager and the owners. We love the fact that is off by itself, but still close enough to downtown San Jose Del Cabo that if we wanted to go into town for anything it wasn't that far away. The property is amazing and the pictures do not do it justice. We are hopeful that we will be able to return next spring and enjoy more of this beautiful location again. Thanks. 05/30/2017 at 3:06 PM
Wow! 5/5 Stayed Mar 2018 Gregory T B.Windsor CO I have rented ~ 25 oceanfront homes in the Caribbean (St John, Tortola, St Barth, Vieques, & Culebra), Costa Rica, and on North Carolina's Outer Banks. This home has the best view we have ever had! The home is very well designed and is very well equipped including a large stock of staples. The owner, Chantel, and the property manager, Lisa, were very good to work with. Thank you, Chantel & Lisa!
WOW! Paradise! 5/5 Stayed Feb 2017 Susan J. WOW! We were blown away. NOTE: If you decide to book be sure to read the end of this review. My wife and I were looking for a quiet and romantic place to hang out for a few days and we got it. Zacatitos is well off the beaten path but worth the short drive from the resorts in San Jose (15 minutes). The pictures do not do this house justice. You are on a hill looking out at a mile of empty beach to the east. We opened all the windows for a wonderful breeze and to listen to the waves on the beach and to watch whales (February) jumping and spouting. The kitchen/dining area/living room all look out an a fabulous covered patio that surrounds the front of the house. The kitchen is well appointed and stocked with cooking pots, pans, dishes, etc.. I cooked almost every meal in our stay and it had most everything needed. Watch the plastic plates. They are not microwave safe. Use the supplied paper plates. The house is well stocked with linens including beach towels. You will not be close to any services except Zac's which is a bar/restaurant. Do all food shopping in San Jose. We stayed in the east bedroom which has a view to die for and 2 sliding glass doors to the patio. Twice I sat in bed taking pictures of the sunrise. There are 2 bathrooms with showers and vanities in each. If you require a lot of counter space for spreading your toiletries then you will be disappointed but you are alone at the beach so what are you doing with all that stuff anyway? The pool is a nice touch but we walked to the beach. I guess if you sunbathe the pool is a nice place to cool off. There are also 3 built in seatings with cushions on the patio and an outdoor table over the outside shower (it makes sense when you see it). We had a storm blow in one afternoon and moved inside to watch a movie on the satellite tv. The internet worked for our needs but we are not gamers. Now for the warning Beware of supplied GPS devices from rental services. Ours, for some reason, sometimes had the correct directions and sometimes tried to get us lost out in the desert on dirt roads to nowhere. The property manager will supply you with excellent directions once you book. Follow them. My wife and I were the first renters for Casa Kiefer. It was perfect for us and we plan to come back.
